FORM - PolarBlock's mission is to provide a high quality and energy efficient building envelope in a manner that is readily accessible by industry. They believe that most companies are looking to build better and more efficiently, but that the first wave of high performance products were cumbersome to implement, and not accessible for the average builder.

Founder Ray Paiement designed PolarBlock in a way to eliminate energy loss through the rim joist and sill plate region, an area traditionally vulnerable to heat loss.  This results in an extremely airtight structure, enabling it to easily pass blower door tests.

Their product is a higher performing, simpler to construct polyurethane concrete form. PolarBlock itself is tested to R31 thermal resistance, enabling builders to easily achieve high insulation values (this does not include the additional R value achieved by adding drywall and cladding). This product is also tested to be three times stronger than typical concrete forms, enabling speed of construction with a simple labour force.
